Curated Sets

f.a.q.

You have questions.
wE have answers.
will the set be in perfect condition?

Sometimes we’re lucky and find pieces that appear to be in excellent, unused condition. Other times a pattern (or a few pieces in the pattern) may show minor wear—which we happen to love because it means it’s been enjoyed! Pieces made in England sometimes have crazing, and that is considered normal for china from that country. Since we mix pieces from multiple patterns to make our curated sets, it’s highly unlikely that every piece will be perfect. However, we will always advise you of condition in our listings. Bottom line:  We only sell sets we’d be honored to use ourselves!

What is the purchase process?

When you see a set you want to purchase, hit the Contact Us button and send us an email with the following information:

  • Name of the set
  • If add-ons are an option, tell us if you need them, too.
  • If you have specific questions, just ask!
  • If you are in East Tennessee, you’ll want to pick up in person (or we may be able to deliver for a fee). If not, we’ll need your address to estimate shipping. Please note that we will NOT pack the set and calculate exact shipping until you have committed to purchase, but we will do our best to estimate shipping based on our experience.

Once you’ve committed to purchasing, we will calculate shipping (if necessary) and send you an invoice via Square or PayPal. The invoice is due upon receipt.

After your payment is received, we will pack your set and either await your pick-up or deliver/ship your purchase to you.

May I pick up my purchase?

Absolutely! In fact, we prefer to present our curated sets to you in person. However, please understand that payment is due before we will pack the set.

do you ship?

Yes, we will ship our curated sets. Although we have a perfect track record of successfully shipping china and glassware, we still hold our breath until packages are delivered safely. Please understand that in order to continue successfully shipping our sets, we will never cut corners. Packing materials and sturdy boxes are not inexpensive, and neither are actual shipping costs, but we will always try to get you the best rates we can.

will you let me pay over time?

If the total cost of your desired purchases (not including shipping) is over $200, you may request to pay over time. A typical scenario is 50% at time of commitment with the balance due either 30 or 60 days later depending on the amount, but we each request will be considered individually.
